Although all of our web hosting accounts come with free use of our
server-wide SSL certificate, you may still decide you want your own
domain name in the secure link, and thus will need your own custom SSL
certificate. If so, you can purchase one from us for $79.00/year, and
we'll install it in our server and set it up for you.
Using our free SSL certificate
Using our free SSL certificate is still just as secure as using your
own. The only difference is that your domain name is not in the URL.
Instead, the main server's domain name is in the URL. An example of
using our free SSL certificate to get to your order form is as follows:
https://red.bishmore.com/~username/order.htm
In this example, the server name is "red.bishmore.com",
your hosting account's username is "username", and the page
you want viewed securely is "order.htm"
Using your own SSL certificate
By purchasing and installing your own SSL certificate, you will be
able to use your own domain name instead of the server name's domain
name in the secure URL. To view the same page as in the above example
securely, you would use:
https://yourdomain.com/order.htm
In this example, your domain name is simply
"yourdomain.com".
In order to use an SSL certificate of your own, your web hosting
account must be setup with it's own dedicated IP address. If you already
have a block of IPs you're using with your reseller plan, you can simply
use one of them. Otherwise, you'll have to purchase another dedicated IP
from us.
Pricing:
Dedicated IP address: $2.00/month
(or a block of 10 for $10.00/month)

SSL certificate for your domain: $79.00/year
- we'll install the certificate and configure it for your domain
name.
